Meat is a protein that man has eaten for centuries. However what does meat do to our health?
1. It gives us protein. You probably already knew this.
2. But you may not know that meat eaten in large quantities, particularly red meat and processed meat can cause various health issues. These health issues can include heart problems, cancer, stroke, weight gain and diabetes.
Eating too much meat not only causes issues for our own bodies but our home - earth. The meat industry is responsible for a lot of greenhouse gas energies that are released into the environment. The meat industry uses gallons of water each year to feed its animals. If we ate less meat, that water could feed citizens in the developing world.
So go ahead and cut out meat one day a week its that simple.
